2013 Caterpillar 236D Skid Steer | Rebuilt Engine | New Tires | 4,878 Hours

2013 Caterpillar 236D skid steer with 4,878.6 machine hours and a professionally rebuilt replacement engine installed at 4,803 hours. The rebuilt engine had 0 hours at the time of installation, giving it approximately 75.6 hours of use since installation.

This machine has undergone significant recent mechanical work and servicing and is ready to work. The original engine had locked up and was replaced with a rebuilt Caterpillar C3.3B diesel engine. The replacement engine carries a 2016 engine tag and a different engine serial number than the engine originally assigned to the machine. Videos documenting the engine replacement are available.

The rebuilt engine was supplied as a complete drop-in assembly. Internal engine components were replaced/rebuilt, while applicable external accessories were transferred over. The turbocharger was rebuilt, and the DPF was professionally cleaned as part of the engine replacement. All machine fluids and filters were also changed at the time of installation.

All four tires were replaced approximately 60 hours ago and have excellent tread remaining.

Condition

This is a working 2013 skid steer with 4,878 hours on the chassis, so normal wear should be expected. The machine has been repainted previously and shows cosmetic imperfections, scratches, wear, and other signs of previous use. Please review the photos closely for the machine's current cosmetic condition.

There is a small amount of normal wear/play in the bucket pins and bushings consistent with the machine's age and hours. A few low-pressure hydraulic hoses show very minor seepage, but all hydraulic functions currently operate as intended.

The machine was originally equipped with an enclosed cab package, but the door and cab windows had already been removed and were not included when the machine was acquired. The heater remains installed and works very well. The A/C system is currently inoperative and has no refrigerant in the system. Some A/C lines appear to have been disconnected previously. The radio is also currently inoperative.

This machine is being represented as a used, work-ready machine, not a restored or like-new unit. Considerable mechanical work has been completed recently, with the focus placed on reliability and function rather than making the machine cosmetically perfect.

Important Engine Information

The replacement Caterpillar C3.3B engine has a 2016 manufacture tag and a different engine serial number from the engine originally associated with this 2013 machine. This is expected because the original engine was replaced with a rebuilt engine. The machine itself is a 2013 Caterpillar 236D.
